Tahoe Trailblazer is a handsome and energetic 1.5-year-old Shepherd mix who is happiest when he's part of the action! He's a smart, social, and people-loving dog who is eager to find his forever human to go on adventures with. Tahoe has a stunning coat, a stately posture, and an athletic presence that is sure to turn heads. He's house-trained, crate-trained, playful, affectionate, and incredibly smart. Tahoe thrives on activity, engagement, and being involved in his family's life. He approaches new people with confidence and friendliness and is eager to make friends. While he can get a little enthusiastic in greetings, he responds well to guidance and corrections. Tahoe is a very workable dog who genuinely wants to please and learn.
Ideal Home
Tahoe would do best in a home that can provide him with plenty of activity and enrichment. He needs a feline-free home, as he has shown a strong prey drive towards cats. If there are other dogs in the home, they should be over 25 lbs to avoid being overwhelmed by Tahoe's size and enthusiasm. He would likely do best with medium to large dogs, especially confident females or dogs that appreciate playful energy without being overwhelmed.
Ongoing Health
Tahoe's medical records are up-to-date and include all vetting, DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Tahoe is an intelligent and eager learner who benefits from continued training. He responds well to leash corrections, checks back in with handlers after being redirected, and recovers quickly from stress or overstimulation. Consistency and structure will go a long way in helping him thrive.

Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
