Navajo, a 6.5-year-old, neutered male Pitbull mix weighing around 75 pounds, is a sweet, affectionate, and easygoing pup looking for his forever home. He's the perfect blend of playful energy and calm companionship, happy to join you on walks or simply relax by your side. Navajo enjoys playing with other dogs, preferring one-on-one or small group interactions over large, boisterous gatherings. He generally reads social cues well and can adapt his play style to his companions, from energetic zoomies to gentle sniffing. While he's done well with dogs of all sizes, he tends to be most comfortable with those similar to his own size or smaller, and proper introductions are always recommended for any new canine friends. Navajo is polite and non-reactive on leash, though he might pull a bit at the start of a walk when excited. He is house-trained and crate-trained, and can be left alone without signs of separation anxiety. He's a calm and easy-going housemate. Navajo is friendly with people and has been good with children, though interactions with very young children haven't been extensively tested.
Ideal Home
Navajo would thrive in a stable, moderately active home that enjoys daily walks, occasional outings, and plenty of affection. He doesn't require an ultra-active lifestyle, just consistent exercise, love, and companionship. He could do well as an only dog or with a compatible canine friend. Navajo would do best in a cat-free home due to a strong prey drive observed towards cats.
Ongoing Health
Navajo required dental work upon arrival in foster care, and several damaged teeth, including his canines, were removed. His remaining teeth are healthy, and he still enjoys chewing his favorite bones.
Training & Support
Navajo is polite on leash and has made great progress with his doggy manners at daycare. He is fully house-trained and crate-trained.
