About Onyx - Sweet Boy - Needs Foster - let's get him out of the kennel!

Onyx is a sweet, 18-month-old boy who is eager to learn and quick to pick up new commands. He's very motivated by treats and praise, making him a joy to train. Onyx previously thrived in a foster home with resident dogs and children aged 10 and up. His previous foster had to move out of state, and now Onyx is looking for a new foster home to give him a comfortable place to land and get him out of the kennel. He needs an active lifestyle and a family who will continue to work with him.

Ideal Home

Onyx will do best in a home that can provide him with an active lifestyle and continue his training. He has previously done well with other dogs and children 10 years and older.

Ongoing Health

Onyx is up-to-date on vaccinations, including rabies and Bordetella, and has received flea and tick treatment. He has been neutered and microchipped.

Training & Support

Onyx is eager to learn and responds well to positive reinforcement. Continuing his training and providing him with an active lifestyle will be key to his success.

  • Adoption fees include basic vaccinations, rabies, Bordetella, flea & tick treatment, spay/neuter (up to $400/$300 respectively), and a microchip. All fees go toward the care of animals in our rescue.
