Batsy is a stunning 1-year-old Pharaoh Hound/Shepherd mix, a rare combination that gives her the perfect blend of intelligence, athleticism, and affection. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and protected with a ProHeart 12 injection to prevent heartworm disease. True to her breed mix, Batsy is friendly, intelligent, and highly active. She loves people, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and has never shown any food aggression. She enjoys playing with canine friends and is respectful and submissive around larger dogs. Whether shes exploring the outdoors or relaxing with her family after a day of fun, Batsy is happiest when shes included in the action.
Ideal Home
Batsy would thrive with a family that understands working and hunting breeds and can provide the structure, exercise, and mental stimulation she needs to be successful. Because of her natural hunting instincts and high prey drive, Batsy is not recommended for homes with cats or chickens.
Ongoing Health
When Batsy first came into rescue, she had a significant injury to her paw that required surgery to remove several toes. It is unknown whether the condition was caused by trauma or a birth defect. The good news is that she has recovered beautifully and today you would never know she had surgery. She is pain-free, active, and walks, runs, and plays like nothing ever happened.
