About Peanut

Meet Peanut, a stunning 2-year-old Labrador mix with a glossy black coat and a heart full of adventure! Peanut absolutely adores exploring the great outdoors, from sniffing out new trails on hikes to simply enjoying time outside with her favorite people. She's a smart and affectionate girl who already knows basic commands like "sit," "leave it," and "come." She's also crate-trained and house-trained, and she loves learning new things when she has a trusted human by her side.

Ideal Home

Peanut is looking for a very specific home that can meet her needs. She would do best in an adult-only home, or one with older, dog-savvy teens if deemed appropriate. She would prefer to be the only pet in the home, or with an experienced owner who can carefully manage introductions. Cats are a definite no-go for Peanut. A secure, fenced yard would also be a great asset for her.

Ongoing Health

Peanut is up-to-date on vaccinations, deworming, and flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She has also been spayed and microchipped. She receives a veterinary health exam and health certificate prior to transport.

Training & Support

Peanut has some behavioral challenges that require an experienced adopter committed to continuing positive, reward-based behavior modification. With structure, consistency, and clear expectations, Peanut forms deep bonds and can be an incredible companion.
