She’s confident and a little on the alpha side, so she does best around dogs that are more submissive or easygoing. Dakota is a smart girl who already knows how to sit and wait patiently for a treat. She thrives on one-on-one attention from her people—she absolutely loves being the center of affection and forming a close, loyal bond. With her playful and energetic nature, she’s always ready to join in on adventures, playtime, or a good walk. Dakota does like to chase cats, so she would do best in a home without feline friends. She’s happiest when she can focus on her people and her canine companions instead!

Ongoing Health
Dakota is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She receives regular heartworm medication, flea and tick treatment, and deworming medication.
Training & Support
Dakota knows how to sit and wait patiently for a treat. Housetraining may be the responsibility of the adopter, as many rescue dogs come from challenging circumstances.

Dakota is currently being fostered in Adair County, KY. We offer transport to Greenwood, IN, Wilmington, OH, Washington, PA, and Mount Joy, PA. Eligibility for transport requires an approved application, a paid deposit, and a signed transport contract.
