Onyx.

Meet Onyx, a handsome purebred Great Dane puppy born on February 26, 2026. He's currently 33 lbs and expected to reach an adult weight of around 120 lbs. Onyx is a friendly boy who gets along wonderfully with cats, kids, and other dogs, and he doesn't cause any trouble. He has some basic leash skills and is quiet when crated. Onyx is a happy and well-socialized pup. He was released from a breeder due to a past skin infection and a lack of placement as he got older. Our vet treated him with an injectable antibiotic. While his hair is thin on his ears and patchy on his back, he's not itchy and is unbothered by it. The hair is expected to grow back with time, and it's thought he may have been sensitive to the wood chips he was on at the breeder's.

Ideal Home

Onyx would thrive in a home that can accommodate his large breed status.

Ongoing Health

Onyx was treated for a skin infection and his hair is growing back. All his veterinary paperwork, including being neutered, receiving Parvo-Distemper and Rabies vaccinations, Frontline treatment, and 30 days of heartworm prevention, will go home with him. He also had a clean fecal exam.

Onyx is crate trained and doggy door trained.

Transporation

Onyx is located in Antwerp, Ohio. Transport is available every other Wednesday morning to Maumee if needed. Approved families are always welcome to visit in Antwerp.
