Mora is a sweet and gentle young Labrador-Type Mix with a beautiful black coat. At 1 year and 3 months old and weighing approximately 26.5 lbs, she can be a little shy and nervous when meeting new people or in unfamiliar surroundings. With patience, a calm voice, and plenty of affection, Mora blossoms into a loving and joyful companion. She has a playful spirit and enjoys spending time with other dogs, which helps her gain confidence. Mora's story is shared with her sister, Sadie; they were rescued together after being abandoned as young puppies outside a school. She is now ready to find a family to call her own.
Ideal Home
Mora would thrive in a home with a patient and loving family who understands her gentle nature and can help her feel safe and secure. A fenced backyard is also preferred.
Ongoing Health
Mora is up-to-date on all her vaccinations, including DHPPI (2 shots), Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. She also received a negative 4DX test and is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A spay/neuter certificate and health certificate are included.
Training & Support
It's important to note that Mora is not house-trained. As a rescued dog, she may require an adjustment period to feel comfortable in her new environment. Patience, understanding, and establishing a consistent routine will be crucial in helping her build trust and bond with her new family. Families with experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer, are strongly encouraged.

Transportation
Mora is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country transport trip. Door-to-door delivery is available for a fee of $400 USD. Our transport process involves a contracted company that brings pets across the border into Texas, with options for further transport to your home. You will receive real-time updates throughout the journey.
