Kanploo (Soi Dog)

Meet Kanploo! This handsome Beagle/Jindo mix was born in January 2024 and currently weighs 42 lbs. Kanploo is an outgoing, confident, and playful pup who is eager to greet visitors and will readily follow them. He enjoys the company of other dogs and loves to play! Kanploo walks with confidence on leash, even in busy and noisy environments, passing by other dogs and strangers with ease. He explores his surroundings calmly and curiously. While he's not interested in tennis balls, he absolutely loves his rope toys!

Kanploo's journey began when he was rescued by the Soi Dog Foundation at just three months old after being involved in a road traffic accident. He underwent surgery to repair a hernia and fractures in his left femur and pubic bone. Thanks to the dedicated care of the veterinary and nursing staff, Kanploo has made a remarkable recovery. He is now fully weight-bearing, though he has a slight, painless uneven gait on his left hind limb.

Ongoing Health

Kanploo is fully weight-bearing and pain-free following surgery for a hernia and fractures. He does have a slight, painless uneven gait on his left hind limb.

Training & Support

Kanploo walks beautifully on leash and is comfortable in busy, noisy environments. He is described as confident and curious, always ready to explore.

Transportation

Kanploo is located in San Diego County, CA. We are happy to consider out-of-town applications and can arrange virtual playdates. We have monthly transport available to various locations in the Pacific Northwest. Individual arrangements can be made for transport to other locations across the US and Canada.
