Meet Gigi!

After three years on the streets and more litters than any dog should ever have to raise, Gigi is still nothing but soft, gentle sweetness. She's a beagle mix, around 35 pounds, with a quiet, observant nature. She's good with people, though a little shy at first, as you'd expect from a dog who had to figure life out the hard way. Give her a minute, and she settles in, leaning into kindness like she's been waiting for it.

Ideal Home

Gigi is excellent with other dogs and takes a lot of comfort from them, so a home with a steady canine companion would suit her well. However, survival mode doesn't just switch off overnight. She's a flight risk, which means a securely fenced yard is not optional. This means an actual, solid fence, not just keeping an eye on her or using a tie-out. She knows how to take care of herself, and that includes knowing how to leave. While she harbors no animosity towards children, she does startle, and her immediate reaction is to flee the vicinity, so she would do best with teenagers and older.

Ongoing Health

Gigi is beautifully house trained and sleeps in her crate without making a peep. She is also not afraid of storms.

Gigi needs stability, patience, and a home that keeps her safe while she figures out how to just be someone's dog.
