About MARLOW

Marlow is a 15-month-old, 75 lb Border Collie/Lab mix who is guaranteed to bring laughter and joy into your life! She's a super friendly girl who loves to live life to the fullest and wants to play all the time. Marlow is an agile, energetic pup who thrives on exercise and will be the first to greet you at the door. She's kid and dog-friendly, and while she enjoys the company of felines, she does have a tendency to chase them. She may need a little extra guidance around very young children. Marlow can be protective of her toys and food with other dogs, so she eats in her crate. She's not protective of toys, food, or people when it comes to humans, though. She's a smart cookie who knows commands like SIT, LAY DOWN, GO TO BED, COME, EASY, and DROP IT. She'll let you know when she needs to go out by ringing bells on the sliding glass door or barking. Marlow is a master at annihilating toys, so durable toys and supervision are a must. She doesn't chew on anything human-related, only her toys! She's a loyal companion who loves being with her family.

Ideal Home

Marlow would thrive in a home that provides plenty of playtime and attention. She'd love to be part of the family, be someone's sidekick, or have a job like agility training. Her ideal life involves an active lifestyle and a family that can keep up with her boundless energy.

Ongoing Health

Marlow is a healthy girl with no known separation anxiety, storm anxiety, or behavioral issues.

Training & Support

Marlow is house-trained and sleeps in her crate at night or when home alone. She pulls a little on the leash but is not out of control. She has a strong prey drive (8/10) and will chase birds, shadows, and cats, and has a history of killing chickens, though she does not hurt the cats. She is not a fan of being brushed. She can be gentle with direction, but you must tell her "EASY" when giving her a treat. She is quiet unless someone or something is making noise outside, at which point she will alert you.
