Piper

Piper is a sweet, shy, two-year-old pit bull/Aussie mix who weighs about 33 pounds. She can be a little hesitant at first, especially on leash, but with a little gentle encouragement, she finds her confidence and loves to explore! Piper has a huge heart and is looking for a home that will cherish her. She adores children and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. While she hasn't been tested with cats, we can arrange that if needed. Piper's favorite things include belly rubs, butt scratches, chewing on bones, and chasing tennis balls. She's crate trained and responds well to gentle corrections. Piper is still working on her leash manners and isn't quite potty trained yet, but her foster family believes she'll pick it up quickly, similar to her brother who was trained in just two weeks. She sometimes jumps up when she's excited, but it's never out of aggression, and she's eager to learn better manners.

Ideal Home

Piper would do best in a home with other dogs, as she relies on their comfort and companionship. She adores children.

Ongoing Health

Piper will be spayed and fully vaccinated before adoption.

Training & Support

Piper is crate trained and responds well to corrections. She is not yet potty trained but is expected to learn quickly. She also needs some help with leash walking and learning not to jump up from excitement.

Transporation

Piper is currently located in Burkesville, KY, but can be transported to other locations for adoption. A transport fee may apply if volunteer transport is not available.
