Meet Bambi, the tiny grandma with opinions, sass, and a heart bigger than her 9-pound body! At 15 years young, Bambi is fully convinced she runs the world, and honestly, we let her! She's still bright-eyed, spunky, and thoroughly enjoying her life. Don't picture a fragile dog who just lies around; Bambi appreciates a good nap, but she also bounces around with happiness and excitement. She'll follow her people and eagerly explore the yard, even joyfully tearing into a plush toy.

This sweet girl LOVES people and wants all your attention. Sit down, and you'll instantly have a tiny supervisor who believes your lap was made just for her. She melts into you, soaking up affection, and looks at you like you hung the moon.

Bambi is very clear about her boundaries. Nail trims are offensive, restraint is unnecessary, and diapers are an absolute no. She's a strong, independent senior lady who prefers to make her own decisions. If pushed too far, she'll remind you she still has teeth and strong opinions, not out of meanness, but because she's clear about her limits. She also still marks indoors, lifting her leg like an old man to claim her space. Whoever welcomes Bambi will need a sense of humor and realistic expectations.

With other dogs, she can be a bit of a grouch, preferring to be the boss and not interested in negotiating. Cats, however, are beneath her concern, and she ignores them completely.

Sadly, Bambi is heartworm positive and has a heart murmur, a cough, and arthritis in her hind legs. She will need a family who understands senior care and is willing to keep her comfortable and loved. Most of her life was spent outdoors, only experiencing indoor life for the last two years. She came to us when her owner's health declined and she had to move into assisted living. She arrived with her daughter Pokie and grandson Taz, who have found foster to adopt homes. Now, Bambi waits alone. Fifteen years with one person, a lifetime of loyalty, then loss. Yet, she still leans into every hand that pets her and climbs into laps, believing love will find her again. Bambi is a tiny survivor, a fiercely loyal soul ready to love with everything she has. If you can appreciate a tiny grandma who will absolutely boss you around while loving you with her entire being, Bambi is your girl! 🐾🐾❤️

Bambi thrives with people who can appreciate her strong opinions and independent spirit. She needs a home where she is the queen of her domain and doesn't have to share the spotlight with other dogs.
