Mason

Mason is a 6-month-old, 32-pound Miniature American Shepherd mix who arrived at our rescue on June 11th. He spent the first two months of his puppyhood in a concrete kennel at the county shelter, feeling overwhelmed and unsure of new experiences like leashes and crates. Initially, he would urinate submissively when worried, often rolling onto his back for reassurance. Today, Mason has blossomed! He happily crates for meals, has bonded well with the other dogs here, and is becoming a pro at coming when called. He's an eager learner, keen to please his people, and is ready for his forever home.

Ideal Home

Mason would thrive in a home with someone experienced with young dogs or who is excited to continue his training journey. A confident, playful canine companion would be a wonderful addition to his life, as he finds comfort and reassurance in other dogs, especially his best friend, Patty. He needs a securely fenced yard to safely explore and burn off his puppy energy. We'd prefer Mason to be in a cat-free home, as he enjoys chasing them a bit too much.

Ongoing Health

Mason is fully vetted and is on monthly preventatives.

Training & Support

Mason is crate trained and house trained. He is also trustworthy when left out of his crate for short periods. He is learning to come when called and is eager to please, showing great potential for further training and building confidence.

Transporation

Mason is currently located at our rescue facility. We adopt to multiple states and Mason can travel safely with one of our trusted transport partners for out-of-state adopters.
