Astro (27lb)

Astro is a 2-year-old, 27lb Heeler mix who was found all alone in a tough neighborhood in Texas. Thankfully, a Kind Spirits volunteer opened her home and heart to him, and he's been thriving in foster care with a whole pack of dogs! Now that he's fully vetted and we know so much more about his wonderful personality, Astro is ready to find his very own loving family. He's an eager-to-please pup who loves to be your number one companion. He's house, crate, and leash trained, and highly motivated by food, toys, and treats, making him a joy to work with. When he's not busy being your best friend, Astro enjoys quiet cuddles.

Ideal Home

Astro is looking for a family to call his own. He currently lives with 10 other dogs and gets along well, but he does have a bit of a "little man" complex and may occasionally nip at male dogs when competing for treats or attention.

Training & Support

Astro is a smart cookie who is eager to please! He's highly motivated by food, toys, and treats, which will make training a breeze. While he's generally quiet and enjoys cuddles, he does have a slight Napoleon complex and may nip at male dogs when competing for resources. He's currently living with many other dogs, so he has some experience, but a home that can help him navigate these social dynamics would be ideal.

Transporation

Astro is located in Texas. Out-of-state adopters are welcome! Private transport can be arranged for $200, which includes a health certificate, vet exam, and transportation to your area.
