Benson

Meet Benson, a sweet and quiet boy with a heart of gold! Benson's journey began when he was found wandering after being hit by a car in Texas. He's since undergone a leg amputation and has learned that humans can be wonderfully kind, especially when treats and air conditioning are involved. Benson is a gentle soul who gets along well with other dogs and is completely unfazed by cats. He's a master of the potty and rides like a dream in the car, always remaining a perfect gentleman during vet visits and handling.

Ideal Home

Benson thrives in a calm, low-traffic environment. He would do best in a home with children over 12 who understand and respect a dog's boundaries. Loud or boisterous children might find him a bit overwhelming. He's also looking for a home with minimal stairs to ensure his long-term comfort as a tripod.

Ongoing Health

Benson is a tripod, having undergone a leg amputation. He gets around wonderfully despite this, but a home with fewer stairs is preferred. He is a lower-energy guy who enjoys a more relaxed pace of life.

Training & Support

Benson is already potty-trained and a pleasure to handle. While he enjoys your company, he's not a velcro dog. True to his Great Pyrenees heritage, he's more of an observer who is content to be in the same room, keeping an eye on things, rather than demanding constant attention. He's looking for peace and a soft place to rest.
