Meet Bean! Bean is a charming and resilient approximately 1.5-year-old Chihuahua Mix who has overcome a difficult past. He comes from a hoarding situation where he lived with many other dogs in unsanitary conditions, which meant he missed out on crucial socialization and human interaction. Bean is a sensitive soul who thrives in a predictable environment and enjoys the comfort of his favorite stuffy toy and his cozy dog bed. He's learning to navigate the world, one step at a time, and with patience and love, he's sure to blossom.
Ideal Home
Bean would do best in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can be his role model. He is not recommended for homes with small children due to his sensitive nature. He would likely do well with older children or adults who can provide a calm and understanding environment. Bean has shown he is comfortable with cats.
Ongoing Health
Bean is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. He is up-to-date on all his medical needs.
Training & Support
Bean is still learning to be comfortable with leash walking and may need extra time and positive reinforcement to master this. His adopters will need to understand that he is a "Hoarding Case Dog" and will require patience, understanding, and a commitment to helping him build confidence and learn about the world at his own pace. He retreats to his kennel when he needs a break, which is a sign of his sensitivity and need for personal space.
