Nira is a thoughtful heart and chase queen who is waiting for her adoption day in a loving foster home. She has been a fun addition to her foster's crew of dogs and kids, and has happily settled in, enjoying playing and snuggling. Nira is a sweet, thoughtful girl who may take a moment to warm up to new people, but once she feels safe, she shows her loving, playful side in a genuine way. She's not one to rush in; she prefers to observe before making her full, loving commitment.
Ideal Home
Nira would thrive in a home with a yard, another dog, and patient, consistent, and respectful adopters who understand her need for space initially. She is not a candidate for apartment or city living and would be happiest as a homebody dog rather than one expected to tag along to outings. She adores kids and would do well in a family environment. Nira needs a cat-free home, as she will chase cats, even though her intentions are playful.
Ongoing Health
Nira is current on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, and flea prevention. She also receives a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable. A heartworm test and treatment will be provided if needed.
Training & Support
Nira is house and crate trained. While she enjoys playing with other dogs and can get a little vocal when playing, it's all in good fun. She is very toy-motivated and loves to entertain herself. Treats are a big motivator for her and will go a long way in helping her feel comfortable and confident.
