Kamoku & Kasumi

Kamoku and Kasumi are a bonded pair of sweethearts who have been through so much together. Kamoku, a 14-year-old Dachshund mix weighing 17 lbs, and Kasumi, a 5-year-old Cairn Terrier mix weighing 38 lbs (but aiming for 22 lbs), were cherished by their former owner, as evidenced by a decade's worth of holiday photo cards. Sadly, when their owner's health declined and she moved into a nursing home, no one in her life stepped up to care for these two beloved companions. They were surrendered to the shelter, and when separated, Kamoku stopped eating while Kasumi cried incessantly. These two are deeply bonded and must be adopted together. When they're together, they are mellow, affectionate, and coexist peacefully with other pets and children.

Ideal Home

Kamoku and Kasumi would love a home where they can stay together and continue to enjoy each other's company. They are good with kids, cats, and other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Kasumi is working towards a goal weight of 22 lbs.

Kamoku and Kasumi are described as mellow and affectionate. They have a history of being well-cared for, as indicated by their extensive holiday card collection.

Transporation

Kamoku and Kasumi are currently fostered in Brooklyn, NY. They are available for local or out-of-state adoption, provided the adopter can travel to meet them.
