Leon is a charming and energetic male, approximately 1 year old and weighing around 30 lbs. He's a delightful mix of Labrador and Creole, rescued in March 2024. Leon is incredibly loving, intelligent, obedient, and playful. He's sociable with people of all ages and other animals, enjoying games, walks, and lots of affection. While he can be a bit shy when first meeting new people, he quickly blossoms with a little kindness, melting into your arms. He is a dog and cat-friendly companion who is also docile, loyal, joyful, and funny! Leon is already crate and leash trained. He was found as a newborn with his six siblings in a field, and we're so glad he's with us now!
Ideal Home
We are looking for homeowners with a fenced backyard who lead active lives and enjoy outdoor activities. Families with an open mind and heart for the unique needs of rescue animals, who understand their journey requires patience and education, are ideal. Experience with dog behavior and training, along with high tolerance for rescued puppies, is highly valued.
Ongoing Health
Leon has received extensive veterinary care: he is spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. He has been dewormed and tested negative for heartworm with a certificate. He also has a negative 4DX test and receives monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are included. Please note that rescue animals are not always perfectly house-trained.
Training & Support
While Leon is crate and leash trained, he is not fully house-trained. We understand that it's an immense undertaking to house-train every rescue pet given our resources. We ask for your patience and commitment to continue his training.

Transportation
Leon is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation to your home address on the East Coast is available for an additional fee.
