Louie

Meet Louie, a 14-year-old poodle with a gentle soul and so much love still left to give. Louie was saved from the shelter after his owner passed away and is now looking for a special hospice adopter to open their heart and home to him during this chapter of his life. He has a large benign growth on his chest that isn't operable due to its location and his age, and he is gradually losing his vision, but Louie continues to enjoy each day in his own sweet way! Louie is happiest simply being near his people. If his humans head outside without him, he'll let them know he wants to join in! He loves spending time in the yard, exploring, and soaking up fresh air. Even with vision loss, he's doing an amazing job learning his surroundings and confidently finding his way around outside. He lets his foster know when he needs to go potty, enjoys short walks, sleeps peacefully in a crate next to his foster brother, and would never turn down a cozy cuddle. He does well with other dogs as long as they respect his space, and pumpkin mixed into his meals is one of his favorite treats! Louie may be a senior, but his heart is full, and he's hoping to find someone to love him exactly as he is for the remainder of his days.

Ideal Home

Louie is looking for a patient and loving hospice adopter who will cherish him during his golden years. He enjoys being near his people and spending time outdoors. He does well with other dogs, but they must respect his space.

Training & Support

Louie lets his foster know when he needs to go potty and enjoys short walks. He sleeps peacefully in a crate and enjoys cuddles.
