A little about them
Mya is a sweet, gentle, and calm 3-year-old pittie who is ready to learn what it means to be someone’s dog. After spending most of her life outdoors and being found at an abandoned home in rough conditions, she is discovering the joys of comfy beds, kindness, good snacks, and canine friends.
Mya may be shy at first, but she warms up with time. She is low-key, food motivated, and learning basic commands and to walk nicely on a leash. She especially enjoys playing with other dogs and has shown interest in cats; supervision around feline friends is recommended. A patient person willing to give her encouragement and time would be a wonderful match.
Ongoing Health
Mya is heartworm positive and currently receiving treatment. She is being well cared for while she recovers.
Training & Support
Mya is learning basic commands and leash manners. Her food motivation makes her a willing student, and she will benefit from continued patient guidance as she learns normal dog experiences.
