About Scout
Scout is ready to travel to a community that will truly cherish him as a family member! He is currently in Oklahoma at our rescue. Because we want his transition to be as smooth as possible, we arrange direct-to-adopter transport to specific cities.
Adoptions are finalized in advance so that Scout can hop off the transport and right into your waiting arms. We stand by our pups for life; in the rare event it isn't a perfect match, Scout is never without a safety net; he will simply return to our care in Oklahoma on the next available transport until his perfect home is found.
Scout is a typical 4-month-old puppy who is ready to find his perfect forever family! Believed to be a wonderful mix of Great Pyrenees and Australian Shepherd, he is currently a handsome 20-pound package of pure puppy joy. He is a typical, happy pup who absolutely loves people. Because he is so young, it can be safely assumed that he will do great with children. Scout is fantastic with other dogs! He tends to be the "rough and tumble" one of the group, but he always plays well with others and is great at socializing. He can be tested with cats upon request. He is already doing okay in his crate. While he hasn't had any official training on a leash or with housebreaking just yet, he is a smart boy who should learn the ropes quickly with a consistent routine. He'll just need a patient family ready to guide him through his puppy milestones!
Ideal Home
Scout is a happy, people-loving puppy who is expected to do well with children. He is also great with other dogs and can be tested with cats.
Ongoing Health
Scout is neutered and up-to-date on all his essential vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPPx3, and Bordetella). He has been dewormed and is kept on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. To ensure he is in tip-top shape for his new family, he will be microchipped and receive a fresh fecal exam and a certified Health Certificate—all performed within 10 days of his transport date.
