Pinto is estimated to be just over a 3 years old and appears to be a Pittie/American bully mix, though as always with rescue, breed and birthday are our best guess. What we do know for sure? Hes sitting right in that sweet spot of energy- playful and fun when he is invited, but just as happy to settle in and soak up the love once the day winds down. Lets talk about his signature move- fetch. Not casual fetch. Not Ill bring it back eventually fetch. Were talking committed, joyful, bring-it-right-to-your-hand fetch. Tennis balls are his love language, and hes more than happy to run, retrieve, and repeat until everyone involved feels like theyve had a great day.

And when playtime wraps up? That same dog turns into a soft, snuggly companion who will gently kiss your hand like hes is thanking you and sealing the deal on your friendship. Pinto is currently living with other dogs and has met a variety of other dogs outside the home. What we see is consistent- he truly enjoys their company, especially the ladies. He loves to wrestle, chase, and engage in playful back-and-forth games, and he showed us he can be respectful when another dog sets a boundary. He would really thrive with a playful female dog in the home, though he can coexist with others given the right match and introductions. He is also a great candidate for solo-dog life as he will be perfectly happy to have you and his tennis ball collection all to himself.

Hes also been around older teens and has shown himself to be friendly, affectionate, and easygoing with people. Out in the world, he greets new friends with a wagging tail and an open heart, happy to accept pets and attention without hesitation.

At home, Pinto is a nice mix of active and relaxed. He enjoys time outsidezooming, chasing his ball, or just soaking up the sunshinebut hes not go-go-go all day. He plays, he rests, he repeats. A fenced yard will make his heart very happy, giving him space to stretch his legs and live his best fetch-filled life. His foster has also proudly shared that he is house trained, not destructive, and overall just a really nice, easy presence in the home. Hes also a smart boy who responds well to guidance and is already showing how quickly he can learn when you communicate clearly with him.

A couple of things to note to set him up for succes- Pinto isnt a fan of being confined in the traditional perfectly sized crate, but he does well with more open space like a kennel setup. Hes still building confidence with things like loading into the car (hell start the job, you just may have to give him a little booty-boost), and he can be a little sensitive with his feet. These are all very workable quirks for a dog who is otherwise eager, connected, and ready to learn.

When it comes to smaller animals, Pinto may need a bit more thoughtful placement. He hasnt had much experience living with a small dog and given his playstyle and size, a home without small pets would be the safest and most comfortable fit for him.

Pinto isnt just a dog looking for a home. Hes a dog who is ready to belong! While he waits for his forever, he is learning what it means to be truly loved- and you can see it in everything he does. The way he leans in, the way he looks at you, the way he chooses connection again and again. He is a perfect example of the depth of rescue dog love.

If youre looking for a playful companion, a fetch partner, a gentle snuggler, and a dog who will meet you with a full heart every single day, Pinto is ready to be your guy!
