Boomer - FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED — TIME SENSITIVE

Boomer is a 6-year-old Border Collie/Heeler mix (Texas Heeler) who urgently needs a new home due to changes in his family’s living situation. Loved since puppyhood, Boomer is an intelligent, sensitive working dog who is struggling in a small rental without space to run or decompress. His family believes — and we agree — that with room, structure, and purpose, he could be a happy, balanced companion again. Boomer is not a bad dog — just a working breed without the environment he needs to thrive.

Ideal Home

Boomer would thrive with an experienced herding or working-breed owner in a home with a secure physical fence or land. He is not safe with cats or small animals and is best in a home without young children. Electric fences are not suitable for him.

Ongoing Health

Boomer is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Boomer is very smart with a solid training foundation and knows multiple commands and tricks. He bonds deeply with his person and has no food aggression. He does well with most dogs, though he may be pushy with some males. He has a strong herding drive and needs exercise, structure, and mental stimulation to be his best self.
