Meet Red, our longest resident and a true ray of sunshine! This handsome 4-year-old pittie mix is an energetic, affectionate boy with a zest for life. Red and 15 other dogs were brought to us from a rural Florida shelter after it was devastated by hurricanes Helene and Milton in 2024. Despite his loving nature, Red has been with us for 1.5 years and is still patiently waiting for his forever home. He's a fan favorite for doggy day outs and fostering, and has been wonderful in our care, enjoying playtime in the yard, zooming around with staff, and soaking up all the snuggles from volunteers and his favorite people. He's fully housetrained and guaranteed to put a smile on your face with his happy-go-lucky personality! Red is a bit of a ladies' man and tends to prefer female companions, but with slow and proper introductions, he can become friends with all. To help him finally find his perfect match, Red's adoption fee has been waived! He's an easygoing, lovable goofball who promises a lifetime of love. We promised Red that the rest of his life would be the best of his life. Could that be with you?
