Bambi

Bambi is a super sweet, beautiful girl with the perfect combination of energy and calm! She's about 3 years old and is a Cane Corso. When she was found, she was emaciated at 50 lbs and, while she's much healthier now, she's still working on gaining more weight to reach her ideal 70 lbs. She's a happy, playful pup who adores people!

Ideal Home

Bambi would love a home with older children (12+) who have experience with giant breeds, due to her size and energy. She enjoys the company of large, male foster siblings but would prefer to be the only dog in the household, or at least not have smaller dogs. Introductions to any resident pets should be slow and supervised. She hasn't been around cats, so her compatibility with them is unknown.

Ongoing Health

Bambi is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, spayed, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Bambi is a smart, people-pleasing girl who is house-trained, crate-trained, and doggy-door trained. She's also working on her obedience and leash manners. While she doesn't pull, she sometimes needs gentle reminders to walk calmly in a straight line. Because positive physical touch is new to her, she can occasionally get nervous and have accidents when she's overexcited, but she is improving with this.

Transportation

Bambi is available for adoption nationwide. Preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. We strive for perfect placements, so adoptions are not on a first-come, first-serve basis.
