Cavalier King Charles-Karlton

Karlton is a 7-year-old, 19 lb Ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is as sweet as they come! He is a gentle soul who will happily follow you around and snuggle up by your side. Karlton loves meeting new people and is eager to devote himself to his human. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, including his large foster sister. He has recently discovered toys and loves to carry his favorite floppy one around. Karlton is not afraid of storms and was calm during the recent 4th of July celebrations.

Ideal Home

Karlton would love a home where he can be close to his people. He is sensitive to heat and humidity, so a home that can accommodate this will be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Karlton was recently neutered and had 9 teeth extracted. During his dental, a small spot was biopsied and found to be clear, but it should be monitored as a precaution. Like many Cavaliers his age, he has a mild heart murmur (mitral valve disease) that will require ongoing monitoring for any changes.

Training & Support

Karlton is making great progress and is almost ready for free roam. He is working on his potty training and does well with regular potty breaks. He is now leash-trained and enjoys walks of about half a mile. He has also learned to navigate stairs and has a curious spaniel's interest in squirrels and birds.
