Keri is a 5-year-old, 45-pound sweetheart who originally came to us from Kuwait. She had a rough start in life, rescued from the desert before making a long journey to find her way to us. After being adopted in 2020, she found herself back with us through no fault of her own. Keri is a very well-mannered and incredibly lazy lady who needs a little nudge towards a more active lifestyle. While her thyroid plays a part, a significant portion of her current weight is due to overfeeding and under-exercising. She generally gets along with dogs her size but isn't a fan of yippy little dogs. Honestly, she's perfectly content to keep to herself, as long as other dogs don't bother her. She's also not a cat person. Keri is looking for a moderately lazy owner who will commit to a walk or two a day and ensure she's not overfed. She already knows many commands and is exceptionally well-behaved.
Ideal Home
Keri would thrive in a home with a dedicated owner who understands her need for a slower pace of life but is committed to helping her achieve a healthier weight through regular walks and appropriate feeding. She's not suited for a home with yippy dogs or cats. Keri is looking for a single person to be her everything, a "ride or die" companion for quiet nights in.
Ongoing Health
Keri has a thyroid condition that is being managed. She is also significantly overweight and needs a diet and exercise plan to reach her ideal weight of around 45 pounds.
Training & Support
Keri is exceedingly well-mannered and knows many commands. Her primary need for support is in managing her diet and encouraging daily exercise to combat her current overweight condition.
