Meet Lily! This happy-go-lucky senior gal loves to chew her toys and enjoy tasty snacks. She enjoys romping in the grass and searching for her favorite playthings. Lily is completely blind but navigates her world with confidence. She's a spayed, 37lb lady who is somewhere between 12 and 100 years old. Lily had bilateral enucleation on 3/2/2026 and has since recovered beautifully, feeling better than ever! She has had a full vet workup including dental, blood work, vaccines, and has seen an ophthalmologist. Once her post-op care is complete, she will only require arthritis medication. Lily's adoption fee has been waived, but donations towards her previous care are appreciated.
Ideal Home
Lily would thrive in a safe space where she won't risk falling from a height, such as a balcony. She should not share her home with small animals, furry or otherwise, due to her prey drive. Lily is best suited for an adult-only home that can accept her sweet and saucy nature.
Ongoing Health
Lily is currently on arthritis medication. X-rays have revealed some masses that could potentially be cancerous, though she is otherwise healthy and happy.
Training & Support
As a blind dog, Lily may be startled by unexpected touch or being approached too quickly. Speaking to her before touching can help mitigate any negative responses, as she hears well and comes when called. In true cattle dog fashion, biting can be a method of communication, especially when startled or scared. While she has made great strides and even done well at the vet recently, it's important to be aware of this. Lily may need some assistance learning a new layout in her home. She is muzzle-trained for vet visits.
