Beth is a quiet, shy, affectionate 7-year-old Dachshund/Beagle mix who weighs 17.2 pounds. She wants to be loved and spend time with her person, and she has plenty of love to give. Beth is best suited to a patient, caring family and a calm environment.

She enjoys exploring a secure backyard and spending time indoors. In unfamiliar surroundings, loud sounds can make her nervous, and she may dart through an open door. She is not comfortable wearing a leash or harness and may try to escape, so a secure setting is especially important. Beth is reported to do well with cats, dogs, and children.

Ongoing Health

Beth previously tested positive for heartworm and was treated. She is currently on a one-year heartworm prevention shot and flea and tick prevention. She has had a dental, a negative fecal examination, and all of her vaccinations.

Beth is house-trained. She is quiet and shy, and she will need patience while adjusting to new surroundings. She is microchipped and spayed.
