Willow Ember

Hi, I'm Willow Ember! I'm a 1-year-old, 40-pound brown and white pit mix with a heart as soft as my fur. I'm already spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and fully potty trained, and I walk nicely on a leash with my dog friends. I'm a total social butterfly who adores people and kids, greeting everyone like an old friend. I'm sweet, adorable, and love giving hugs, and I'm the perfect size for cuddles. I'm even learning to give gentle, quick smooches!

I get along well with other dogs, but I do need slow introductions because I can get a bit too excited. However, I'm not a fan of cats, so I'll need to join a feline-free family.

My story started a bit rough; I was found as a stray puppy eating dirt just to survive. I had a severe demodex mange infection that caused so much hair loss and swelling I could barely see. Even then, I trusted people and knew basic commands. Thankfully, Team Memphis Rescue and Support stepped in, provided immediate medical care, and helped me heal. Now my beautiful coat has grown back, and I'm flourishing! I'm gentle, loving, playful, and full of joy, ready to bring sunshine into a loving family.

Ideal Home

A home that understands the need for slow introductions with other dogs. A feline-free environment is a must.

Ongoing Health

I had a severe demodex mange infection as a puppy, but I have since recovered and my coat has grown back.

Training & Support

I walk well on a leash and know basic commands like "sit." I need slow introductions to other dogs due to my excitement.
