Blitz

MEET BLITZ, a magnificent, almost 3-year-old Doberman with a stunning dark red coat that's almost chocolate in color. This 85-pound gentle giant is currently in training to help him overcome some past fears and quirks. While he's wonderfully affectionate with those he knows, he can be tense and suspicious of strangers, especially in confined spaces. He can also be a bit stubborn, but his training is making fantastic progress! Blitz gets along great with other dogs and has previously lived happily with a female Doberman.

Ideal Home

Blitz's size and strength mean he needs a home without small children. He has high energy and would absolutely thrive with a yard where he can run and play to his heart's content. Experience with Dobermans or large dogs is a must for his adoption.

Ongoing Health

Blitz has a thyroid condition and is on inexpensive medication that he will likely need for life.

Training & Support

Blitz is working through some issues with strangers and confined spaces, but his training is going very well. He can be a bit stubborn, but with consistent positive reinforcement, he'll continue to blossom.
