Ranchito Dorito the Most Chill Dude

Meet Ranchito Dorito, a 6-year-old, 50-pound bundle of freckles and charm! He's the perfect blend of laid-back and playful, happy to join you for a walk, chill in the yard, or simply nap nearby. Ranchito is past his puppy days but still has plenty of smiles and tail wags to offer. He knows how to balance activity with relaxation, making him a truly delightful companion.

Ideal Home

Ranchito would thrive in a home with a medium or low-energy canine friend, but he'd also be perfectly content as the sole furry occupant. He's a cat-tolerant dog, curious and calm around them. He's also wonderful with children, showing gentleness and affection towards a 5-year-old. He would do best with respectful kids who understand how to interact with dogs.

Ongoing Health

Ranchito is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has also been tested for heartworm and treated if needed.

Training & Support

Ranchito is a confident and slightly independent dog with a "cool guy" energy. He enjoys leaning against his people for affection, a move we affectionately call his signature "lean." He has a strong love for snacks and will happily inhale treats! Our trainers have worked with him on general behavior, crate training, potty training, and leash walking.

• The adoption fee is $900 and includes extensive vetting, transport, and a microchip with lifetime registration.
• A $87 surcharge applies due to transportation costs.

Transportation

Ranchito is currently located in the Houston area. We facilitate adoptions nationwide with our USDA certified transport system, offering drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
