Meet Mocha!
This handsome three-and-a-half-year-old Doberman/Golden Retriever mix is an 80-pound bundle of love and loyalty, all wrapped up in a striking black and tan coat. Mocha is a wonderfully devoted companion who believes he's a lap dog, despite his size! He's a joyful spirit who loves to play fetch in the backyard and enjoys the company of his smaller dog sibling. After a good session of zoomies, Mocha is a master cuddler, ready to relax with his favorite people. He's already house-trained, neutered, and microchipped. Plus, he knows commands like "sit," "lie down," "go," and "go to sleep"! His daily routine includes two meals, plenty of playtime, and, of course, lots of affection.
Ideal Home
Mocha does wonderfully with older children and familiar guests. However, he can be a bit cautious around new adults. He thrives with slow, structured introductions and a confident caregiver who can help him navigate new experiences. A home experienced with larger dogs and comfortable providing structure would be ideal. A fenced yard would be a great bonus for him to safely let loose and play.

Mocha is neutered and microchipped. He is up-to-date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Mocha is house-trained and knows several basic commands. He can be a bit protective and reactive when surprised, as he once barked at a visiting neighbor, but he did not bite. This indicates a need for calm management during greetings and transitions. On walks, he can pull on the leash when excited, but he isn't reactive or noisy, just eager! A little leash training and consistent exercise will help him become an even better walking companion.

Transporation
Mocha is located in Oceanside, CA. He will remain with his current family until a suitable new home is found for him.
