Nell is a 5-year-old, 58-pound, neutered male Pitbull mix who is currently in a foster home in Houston, Texas. He was found tied in a backyard before arriving at the county shelter and was at risk of euthanasia. Thankfully, he was rescued and is now looking for his forever home!
Nell is an easygoing best friend who loves both playtime and cuddle time. He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, from tiny pups to larger adults, and enjoys a good game of chase or wrestling, but is also content to relax beside his canine companions. People are Nell's favorite, and he is incredibly affectionate, greeting new people with a wagging tail and staying calm and friendly even when visitors come to the home. He has been wonderful with children and will alert you if someone is outside, but quickly becomes all smiles once they are inside.
Nell is fully house-trained and has impeccable crate manners, resting quietly and sleeping through the night. He also rides beautifully in the car. While he is wonderfully behaved, he is a strong boy on leash and would benefit from continued leash training. He is smart, playful, affectionate, and always ready to soak up attention.
Ideal Home
Nell would thrive in almost any loving home and would be happy as an only dog or alongside canine siblings. He'd be a great fit for a family, a couple, or a single adopter, whether your weekends are filled with adventures or cozy afternoons on the couch.
