Memphis

Memphis is a 3-year-old bulldog who, despite her genetic lottery losses, has won the charm contest. She may look like a "shrink" button was hit, but her Quasimodo-esque character and squatty build are utterly captivating. Memphis has a history of being used for breeding, undergoing multiple C-sections. Thankfully, she recently had surgery to correct breathing issues, including opening her nostrils, shortening her soft palate, and addressing dental needs.

Ideal Home

Memphis would love a family that understands her need for a slower pace. She enjoys outings but would be thrilled if her humans were willing to push her around in a stroller. She adores children and would happily snuggle up with them on the couch, floor, or even in bed for naps. She also gets along well with cats. A fenced yard is not necessary, as she doesn't require an active lifestyle.

Ongoing Health

Memphis recently underwent surgery to improve her breathing and dental health. She has a distinctive snore when she sleeps.

Training & Support

Memphis is highly food-motivated and intelligent. She knows sit, sit pretty, and stay, and is crate-trained. Her table manners are currently atrocious, and she is very food-driven, so continued guidance in this area will be beneficial. She can be opinionated when meeting larger dogs, so slow introductions are recommended. She would also be content as the sole pet in the household.
