Meet Buehrle!
Buehrle is a charming 1-year-old Rottweiler with a heart full of love and a head full of smarts! He came to us with a tough past, having suffered from wounds around his neck, likely from being chained outside. But don't worry, Buehrle is a trooper and is healing beautifully with veterinary care, antibiotics, and lots of TLC. While he can be a bit hesitant about collars and leashes due to his history, he's making wonderful progress with patience and kindness. He absolutely adores his humans and soaks up all the attention he can get! This bright boy learns quickly and is already mastering potty training, with crate training underway.
Ideal Home
Buehrle would thrive in a home with no small dogs, cats, or other small animals. He would also do best without young children. He needs a patient and consistent family who is ready to continue his training and help him build confidence as he leaves his past behind and becomes the amazing dog he's meant to be.
Ongoing Health
Buehrle is currently receiving veterinary care for wounds around his neck and is on antibiotics. He is not yet neutered, but this procedure will be scheduled by our rescue.
Training & Support
Buehrle is working on crate training and can be apprehensive about collars and leashes due to his past. He is a strong, energetic young Rottweiler who will benefit from continued training and structure. An experienced adopter or foster who understands large breeds will be best equipped to help him succeed.
