Cesar is an 85 lb snuggler with a heart of gold! Born on February 10, 2021, this handsome boy is a true people-pleaser who loves everyone, including men, women, and children. He has a neutral energy level at home, rating about a 6 out of 10. While he enjoys playing and running, he's not overly athletic and is definitely not a jumpy dog. Cesar is incredibly affectionate, craving hugs and kisses, and will happily snuggle into your lap. He's a gentle giant who is quiet, except when he needs to go outside. Cesar is a very smart boy, though not overly curious. He is also very protective and brave, having shown his devotion to his person in difficult situations. He finds comfort in being sung to, loves sleeping with his stuffed animals, and enjoys a good game of tug-of-war. Cesar dislikes angry yelling or screaming. His presence is warm and comforting, and he is both house-trained and crate-trained. He doesn't suffer from storm or separation anxiety and is comfortable being independent when needed. Cesar is good on a leash and loves car rides! He has a high food drive and appreciates any treat you offer, never snatching food. His prey drive is average. Cesar's experience with other dogs is limited, so slow introductions are a must to ensure his comfort. He has no known health concerns. Cesar is an owner-surrender whose previous owner credits him with saving her life. Unfortunately, she had too many animals and not enough space for a larger dog. He is currently living in boarding.
