Snow White is a sweet 6-year-old, 12.5-pound Bichon Frise who is ready to trade her past life for a future filled with love and pampering. She's a beautiful white pup, though she does have a patch of pink skin on her back where her fur hasn't grown back. Despite this, she's a real cutie who is slowly blossoming into a cuddly companion. Snow White is learning to trust and enjoy life after spending most of her years on a commercial breeding farm. She's come a long way in understanding the world outside her previous confinement and is eager to continue her journey with a patient and loving family.
Ideal Home
Snow White would thrive in a quiet and calm environment. A rural home, small town, or a quiet subdivision would be ideal, as she can get easily scared by noises. She will not do well in a busy street or urban setting. She would be comfortable in any type of housing, but a home with a patch of grass for her to enjoy would be wonderful. Due to her timidity around children, she needs a home with adults only or older teens.
Ongoing Health
Snow White has been spayed and is up-to-date on all her vaccinations. She has also had a full dental cleaning. She has a grade 1 heart murmur that does not require medication at this time. She is otherwise a healthy dog.
Training & Support
Snow White is learning to walk on a leash and can be easily spooked by outside noises. She needs a patient adopter who will continue to work with her on leash training and help her gain confidence in the outdoors. She also has a slight timidity about going through open doors, but with gentle encouragement, she is overcoming this. She is crate trained and has had no accidents since arriving at her foster home, but she needs to be let out regularly as she doesn't signal when she needs to go. She is not treat-motivated and prefers to eat her treats from the couch or the floor. She also gets an upset stomach on car rides and will need more practice. Regular grooming will be essential for her coat.
