Diesel

Diesel is a 60-pound bundle of muscle with a tannish-reddish coat. He's a handsome mix of Boxer, Hound, and Lab, with perhaps a touch of Cur. Diesel is a dog for experienced handlers only, as he can be a bit boisterous and intimidating with his "bluff" lunges and rough play style. He's not truly aggressive, but his enthusiastic greetings and body-slamming play can be a lot for the uninitiated. He has a lot of love to give and can be a very loyal companion and terrific watch dog for the right person.

Ideal Home

Diesel would thrive in a home with an experienced handler who understands his playful, if sometimes overwhelming, nature. He needs a securely fenced yard to safely express his energy.

Diesel is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Diesel is not house-broken and will need consistent training in this area. He is food aggressive and cannot be fed with other dogs. While he enjoys playing with large, alpha female dogs, he does not get along with other male dogs. His boisterous play style means he's not a good candidate for homes with small dogs. His barking at cats suggests he may not be a good fit for a multi-species household, though his true compatibility with cats is unknown. He may need guidance on how to greet people more gently.
