Meet Sunny — Your Next Adventure Buddy
Sunny’s name fits him perfectly — he’s a bright, joyful, two-year-old red and white Husky whose spirit shines through everything he does. He came to us after landing in an overcrowded shelter as a stray. Despite clearly having been cared for, no one came to reclaim him, and with space running out, Sunny needed rescue fast. We stepped in because dogs like him deserve a chance at the life they were meant for. Now he’s safe, thriving, and ready for adoption — and he is going to make someone very happy.
Sunny is the perfect mix of silly, smart, affectionate, and mischievous — classic Husky charm. He’s a vocal guy with a lot to say, highly food-motivated, and always ready for fun. He loves water, loves car rides, and would be an incredible adventure companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. Sunny is deeply affectionate, eager to bond, and full of life. He’s the kind of dog who will make you laugh daily, keep you moving, and curl up with you afterward like he’s known you forever. He’s loyal, loving, and ready to be someone’s whole world. If you’re looking for a dog who will bring adventure, joy, and a whole lot of personality into your life, Sunny is your guy.
Ideal Home
Sunny is looking for an active home with a tall, secure fence — he can clear a 4-foot fence without breaking a sweat. A playful female dog would be his dream companion, or he’d be perfectly happy as an only dog if he gets tons of affection. He needs a home without small children, as he’s still a bit mouthy like many young huskies. Sunny can be bossy with other males and definitely thinks he’s the top dog, so a home that understands Husky dynamics will set him up for success.

Transporation
Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs are in foster homes all up and down the East Coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in.
