About Lazarus "Lazzie"

Meet Lazarus, also known as Lazzie, Russie, or Laz! This handsome 3-4-year-old, 50 lb. black Lab mix is a volunteer favorite. Lazzie is a calm, gentle, and quiet boy with a gorgeous, shiny coat. He loves to lounge and cuddle on the bed with his people and canine companions. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes and currently lives with a chihuahua and a 70 lb. pittie. Lazzie has a sweet and gentle demeanor with strangers, as he demonstrated at a local adoption event where he enjoyed socializing.

Lazzie came to us with mange and an upper respiratory infection, clearly having lacked proper veterinary care and attention. He was found alone in a ditch full of trash in the Texas elements. Thankfully, he has made a full recovery and is now healthy, strong, and strikingly handsome.

Ideal Home

Lazzie enjoys lounging and cuddling, so a home where he can relax with his family and other dogs would be ideal. He is dog-friendly and likely kid and cat-friendly.

Ongoing Health

Lazzie is fully vaccinated and neutered.

Training & Support

Lazzie is kennel trained and potty trained. He also benefits from the confidence of having his dog friends with him when experiencing new adventures.
