Bix is a pint-sized cattle dog who needs some extra help with socialization and learning to be brave and courageous in the big scary world. He’s looking for a special person or family who can give him time, patience, and guidance as he learns all his important doggy skills. Bix came to the shelter after being trapped, which we imagine was pretty scary! He needs to decompress in a quiet home where he can go at his own pace with a family who will help him feel safe. Bix shares his kennel with another PACC pup and would benefit from having a confident furry pal to show him the ropes in a home. If you have a safe place for a pup who needs a little bit of extra help to land, ask to meet Bix today!

Training & Support
Bix has a Level 2 bite history to the ankle of a victim when he escaped his yard. He may have prey drive, possibly killing chickens, and may chase or pull towards small animals. He is undersocialized and may panic over small things or noises, potentially attempting to flee. He will need time to decompress, which could take 3 weeks to 3 months or longer. Go slow with Bix and do not force handling, as this could make him fear bite. He will not be affectionate immediately after adoption and will need patience. Dog introductions are recommended due to him being nervous around other dogs.
