Bella aka Sunny

Bella, a 4-year-old female Golden Retriever weighing around 80 lbs, is a sweet soul who has overcome a difficult past. Rescued from a neglectful situation, she arrived with several health concerns, including being significantly overweight, skin issues, injured paw pads, severely overgrown nails, and broken teeth. She spent her entire life confined to a pen or a kitchen, with limited exposure to the world. Thankfully, Bella has received veterinary care and is now on the road to recovery, eagerly seeking a loving forever family to shower her with the affection and comforts she deserves.

Ideal Home

Bella adores people and thrives on companionship, so a family that can provide her with plenty of love and attention is ideal. Due to her past experiences, she is reactive towards other dogs and would do best as the sole canine in the household. She also experiences separation anxiety, stemming from a life spent mostly alone, so a home where she won't be left by herself for extended periods is important. Bella enjoys playing ball, which can be a great way to help her with her exercise needs.

Ongoing Health

Bella is currently recovering from several issues, including skin problems, paw pad injuries, and dental work. She is also on a specialized diet and exercise plan to help her reach a healthy weight.

Training & Support

Bella will need a family with the patience and dedication to help her adjust to life as a cherished pet. This includes supporting her with a consistent diet and exercise routine, and helping her overcome her separation anxiety by gradually acclimating her to being alone. Her dog reactivity will require ongoing management and training.
