Lou Loomie is a charming approximately 5-month-old Lab/Aussie mix who weighs about 30lbs. His most striking feature is his wonderfully oversized ears, which give him an endearingly goofy expression. Beyond his adorable ears, Lou possesses a heart full of affection and an easygoing nature that makes him incredibly easy to love. He's a perfectly balanced companion, happy to join you on walks, relax in the backyard, or spend a quiet evening at home, naturally adjusting to your daily rhythm. Lou thrives on affection, leaning into your touch and soaking up every bit of love you offer.
Ideal Home
Lou would do best in a home with experienced dog owners who understand the importance of consistency and boundaries. A backyard for him to explore would be ideal. He would thrive with a semi-active family that enjoys outdoor adventures but also appreciates relaxing evenings at home. He is also dog friendly and would do best with confident adult dogs that are already established in the home, but he would also be happy as an only dog.

Training & Support
Lou is doing very well with potty training, with an estimated 85% success rate. He benefits from frequent trips outside and thrives on a consistent schedule. He is highly motivated by treats, making him an eager and quick learner for positive reinforcement training. Lou is also crate trained. While he may protest for a few minutes when you first leave, he settles down nicely. Continued crate training is recommended, as he flourishes with structure and clear expectations.

Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. An $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
