Chopper

Chopper is a handsome male Pit Bull Terrier mix who is ready to find his forever home! We're still getting to know this sweet boy, but we'll update his profile with more information as soon as we can. He's currently listed as an adult and is a medium-sized dog with brown and white or cream coloring.

Ideal Home

Chopper would do well in a home that can provide him with lots of love and attention. We are still learning about his interactions with children, so if you have young children, please be prepared for a meet-and-greet.

Ongoing Health

Chopper will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before going to his new home.

Training & Support

Chopper is not yet house-trained, so his new family should be prepared to help him learn.

• All household members should be present to meet dogs, especially those under 18 and any decision-makers.
• We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s). Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.

Transportation

Chopper is currently located at Chicago Animal Care and Control at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL. They are open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm.
