Meet Blade! This charming 1-year-old chihuahua mix weighs about 14 pounds and is looking for a patient and loving forever home. Blade came to rescue after being surrendered and was initially quite scared, but he's blossomed in his foster home and is ready to find his perfect match. His foster mom describes him as someone who "believes that love is earned, not rushed." New people can be a bit intimidating for him, so he needs a human willing to give him the time and space to feel comfortable and realize the world isn't so scary. But once he lets you into his inner circle, you'll find the sweetest, most loyal companion imaginable. Blade's favorite place is curled up right beside his people, soaking in all the love. He enjoys relaxing on the couch, binge-watching shows, and following his family from room to room. Don't let his cuddly side fool you – he also has plenty of playful energy and loves to run, explore, and stretch his legs before settling in for a cozy cuddle.
Ideal Home
Blade would thrive as your one-and-only best friend or with another smaller, calm canine companion. Larger dogs can make him feel uneasy, so a quieter environment is best. He needs someone willing to be patient and let him open up at his own pace.
Ongoing Health
Blade is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He has also had his teeth cleaned.
Training & Support
Blade is potty trained when kept on a consistent schedule, is comfortable in his crate, and walks beautifully on a leash. He truly enjoys his daily strolls.
