Rory is an absolute sweetheart who blossoms when she knows she is safe and loved! She's estimated to be around 5 years old and weighs 57 lbs. Rory is likely a husky/lab mix, but as with all rescues, this cannot be guaranteed. She's a big fan of toys and loves to play fetch, though she might keep the toy for herself sometimes – it's just her way of taking a break! Rory is also a certified chair potato, with her favorite spot being the armchair, where she can happily watch TV with you before drifting off into quiet, gentle snores. She's a pro at letting you know when she needs to go outside with a polite whine and a hopeful look.
Ideal Home
Rory would love a home with a yard and a family with kids to complete the picture. She is not a picky eater and she doesn't need another dog in the home. Her people and a few toys will fill her bucket each and every day. The only dealbreaker is no cats, as she has a strong prey drive and her previous attempts to chase them have resulted in too much excitement.

Rory is a healthy girl who has been spayed, microchipped, and is up-to-date on all her vaccinations and preventative care.
Training & Support
Rory has basic leash skills and is a quick learner, picking up new things in new environments with ease. She has excellent crate manners, is quiet, and settles down easily. She knows basic commands like "sit" and "lay down" and responds well to gentle corrections.

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time and receive photo updates. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.
