Goyito

Goyito is a small dog with a huge heart, a cheerful, playful, and affectionate Schnauzer Mix who is approximately 3–4 years old and weighs around 12 lbs. He's always ready to give and receive kisses and cuddles. Goyito gets along well with other dogs, children, and adults. While he might be a little nervous and bark at new people initially, he quickly warms up and his sweet personality shines through. He once faced abandonment and survived a car accident, but despite his past hardships, Goyito has never lost his joyful spirit or his capacity to love. He is now safe, obedient, and full of love, just waiting for a family to cherish him forever.

Ideal Home

Goyito would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. He needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue and who understands the needs of a rescued animal, particularly those who may have behaviors requiring protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer to help this intelligent dog reach his full potential. A high tolerance and patience for a rescued puppy are essential.

Ongoing Health

Goyito has undergone extensive health protocols, including being spayed/neutered, receiving DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and being microchipped. He tested negative for heartworm and the 4DX test. He is on monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. He has a health certificate and vaccine booklet. It's important to understand that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period due to past trauma and may not be house-trained.

Training & Support

Goyito is not house-trained, and it's important to note that the rescue is unable to provide individual house-training for each animal due to the high number of pets in foster care. Potential adopters should be prepared to work on this and provide consistent training and patience. Building trust and a strong bond will be key to his successful integration into a new home.

• Submit photos/videos of your home to ensure your future furry friend will be safe.
• If it's a match, we'll arrange a call or video chat to introduce you to the pet and conduct a virtual home tour.
• We will speak with 1–2 of your references.
• Upon approval, you'll sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which covers vet care, spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, food, and more.

Transportation

Goyito is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on a cross-country trip. Door-to-door delivery is available for a one-time fee of $400 USD. This service includes scheduled trips (3-4 times per year), a contracted transport company that brings pets across the border into Texas (for US adoptions) or to the nearest US-Canada border (for Canadian adoptions), all necessary legal documents including a USDA Health Certificate, and real-time updates via a private Facebook Messenger group. The transport team will deliver your pet directly to your home and conduct a final home review.
